Step 2: Assembling the Raspberry Pi 4 with Power HAT module
This guide will explain what you need to do with the Raspberry PI and the Power HAT case.
The Power-Hat case provides the additional USB-C port for injecting the extra power needed to run a Raspberry PI 4. The Tesla USB port provides just enough power to boot a PI but under heavy load such as video processing, it draws more power than the Tesla USB port can supply. This can lead to crashes, slow performance, and data loss.
- Unbox all case parts
- Insert the micro SDXC card into the Raspberry Pi 4.
- If a case fan was supplied, connected it to the Power HAT.
- Insert the plastic stand-offs into the Raspberry PI's mounting holes.
- Carefully attach the Power HAT to the Raspberry PI's GPIO pins making sure the pins are fully inserted into the Power HAT.
- Install the Raspberry PI in the provided case.
